Great food and huge proportions. Located in an industrial park just off Center St and 700 West in North Salt Lake.

Great breakfast place. Try the scones - very good

It looks like it going to be a bad place, but don't let that fool you. We have never hand anything bad there. We have only gone there for breakfast. Sometimes the service can be a little slow. Portions are good size.

Don't let the exterior fool you... This place is awesome! Great prices, friendly staff and delicious food. (Oh and large portions for the hungry man)!

Alice's kitchen serves stick to your ribs diner food cooked to order in an out-of-the-way location in the industrial west side of North Salt Lake. After my first visit for brunch last Saturday, I'm convinced there would be tons of great reviews of this place on Yelp if it served a more Yelp-ish clientele. A few stand-out dishes have a Mexican influence. I hear the owners of Alice's are the same family who owned the long-running Cafe Alicia in Bountiful (which served the usual American Mexican fare, but had highly addictive salsa and cheese enchiladas), and indeed the logo is the same as the old Alicia's. Our favorites included the Enchiladas Rancheros (cheese enchiladas topped with pork chile verde sauce and a fried egg, served with home fries) and the smothered breakfast burrito, which was a whole lot of food for around $10! A huge burrito filled with scrambled eggs and not just bacon, ham, or sausage, but ALL THREE. And then smothered with pork chile verde! Wow, four kinds of meat on one plate! Ask for salsa to go with your home fries. Very good. Our kids had smily face pancakes, which came with bacon, egg, and a drink, for $3.99. They cleaned their plates. Everything is cooked to order by one or two cooks in an open kitchen. The place is busy (every table occupied when we arrived, and a veterans' club meeting in the back), and it took quite a while for the food to come out (probably 25 or 30 minutes). If you go in knowing this (which I did, because of a previous review), you won't be bugged. Besides, the people-watching is good -- waitresses scurrying back and forth among a cross section of humanity. I don't know why anyone in South Davis county would ever eat at IHOP, Village Inn, or Dennys with something like Alice's Kitchen around. We will be back!

Their food is very good, but after ordering, they made us wait for an hour!!! We were so pissed and almost ready to leave, then the food came. The boss is not friendly at all. She did not apologize at all, but asked us: what do you want? To leave or to stay for food, whatever you like! I am very disappointed with the service. The food is good though I have to say... If you are super hungry, don't go there...and if you are looking for good services, don't go there... If you are not in a hurry, and want just very good food, you can try it out.

This is the best place to get a Monte Christo. Good food, good atmosphere. I like that it's kind of a hidden gem.

For ordering breakfast, the service was great. Food tasted good as always. Anytime I'm in town, I usually stop by and eat.

Fantastic food. The Smothered Breakfast Burrito is to DIE for. If you just drive by, you will be turned off by the location, but come in meet the ladies and love the food!

Definitely try this place out. The food is great, reasonably priced and good sized portions. The chili verde omelet is awesome!!!

This is the very best ole school diner in Utah. The atmosphere is wonderful its clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff works so hard and always has a smile on thier faces even during the rush hours. But the true gem is the food, anything you order off the menu is homemade and done with care. My favorites are the burgers, the club and the pagosa, a delicious plate of cheese enchaladas. My husband loves the cafes breakfast which is served all day. My advice is for anyone to go in try it out you wont be disappointed with anything and dont forgot the scones.

Seemed sketchy from the outside. I work down the road and didn't know it even existed. Glad I tried it out! I had the Chili verde smothered breakfast burrito. Was pretty darn tasty. Had a slight lol but good flavor. Scones were good. Need to go back and try other items.

This was a great little restaurant! Don't let the outside fool ya! YOU will not be disappointed! The food was terrific. Large portions (ask about 1/2 orders) I love food. They do it right here! The staff was great! I'll be coming back here. Just to eat here again!

Our first time here, we'll definitely be back! We came on a lazy Sunday morning and the place was busy. No wait, but consistently full. The waitresses were very busy, but they were also very attentive and friendly. I love it when people do that! At so many places you'll often find busy staff who treat you like you're a nuisance. The food was exactly what we expected - home style! Can't wait for the next lazy Sunday morning to try the Huevos Rancheros.

Food is great but Absolutely horrible place. Family owned horrible establishment. Rude. Dirty. Attitude. Cup of coffee served with lipstick on it. When I told the waitress i never got my coffee. They switched waitresses and cannot keep up.

Amazing food! I've been going to sunshine cafe for a long time and this place definitely compares. Same home style type of cooking with a fun environment. It's nice not being back to back with some stranger while trying to eat. My hash browns! Which were incredible by the way. My wife ordered the breakfast sandwich which she loved. I got the biscuits and gravy which were incredible as well. Nice thick gravy, delicious hash browns and a sausage patty cooked to perfection. In all this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. And yes, I will be returning shortly to try some of those scones I saw everyone drooling over!

Someone else called this place "sketchy from the outside." It is indeed a hole-in-the-wall, but a good hole-in-the-wall. Restaurants are few and far between in this area and Alice's is a hidden gem. The food is always good, from the enchiladas, to the breakfast, to the Philly cheesesteak, and the cheeseburger. It's all good food. Be mindful of the "home cooking" in the restaurant's name. You will wait for your food to be cooked, not just prepared. As long as you are not in a hurry, you will enjoy the delicious food and super friendly staff.

This place is one of my favorites to go eat breakfast. All of the food is incredibly delicious and the staff is very friendly. One of my favorite dishes is the "Truckers Delight". Plus they have some of the best scones I've ever had they're soft, light, with a crispy outside that seamlessly blends together with their honey butter.
